Marquette鈥檚 direct-entry Occupational Therapy Doctorate program consists of a three-year undergraduate program followed by a three-year doctorate-level program. Spend your first three years pursuing a related major of your choice 鈥 we recommend biological sciences, biomedical sciences or psychology, but any major is acceptable. Your next three years will focus on professional experience. Throughout the entire program, you'll learn directly through hands-on clinical care and research.

Gain practical experience in our on-campus community clinics, such as the Neuro Recovery Clinic (one of only a few in the country), Pro Bono Pain Clinic, PT Clinic and Speech-Language and Audiology Clinic, in which OT has many opportunities to collaborate and treat clients. In providing so many clinics on campus, our students have the ability to shadow other occupational therapists in these clinics, work in the clinics as aides or even acquire Level II fieldwork experience in the clinic.
In addition, our students partner with other health care students (PT, speech-language pathology, PA, dental, nursing) to practice collaboration in simulated client cases.
Field experience will be a key part of your training, and 测辞耻鈥檒濒 complete 24 weeks of it in Milwaukee and throughout the country once you are in the graduate program. We have over 500 clinical partners to work with across the country.
