Residence Life is looking for students who are interested in developing their leadership skills while serving as the voice for residence hall and university apartment students. We have both paid and volunteer opportunities available.
RLLB Chairperson: The Residence Life Leadership Board Chairperson serves as a staff member for the Office of Residence Life under the supervision of the Graduate Assistant for Residence Life Programs.
The board works with residence hall Community Programming Councils and campus partners to build community and develop leaders on campus. The Chairperson plans Leadership Development trainings and/or communicate with campus partners for trainings, facilitates RLLB meetings, and coordinates additional programming/service opportunities for RLLB members. This is a paid position.
Hall Leadership Coordinator (HLC): The primary function of the HLC is to liaison and provide leadership development to the building and serve as the Chair for their building Community Programming Councils (CPCs). They meet bi-weekly with their Residence Hall Director/Complex Director and with the Residence Life Leadership Board (RLLB) bi-weekly. They run the building CPC meetings, provide on-going leadership training, and assist with RLLB programming events. A Hall Leadership Coordinator (HLC) acts as the liaison between their hall Community Programming Council (CPC) and the RLLB. This is a paid position.
Community Programming Council (CPC): Each residence hall has a Community Programming Council, and all of our apartments share one CPC. CPC is made of individuals who live in their respective hall/apartment. CPCs meet regularly to recieve leadership training, discuss the needs of their specific community, and plan programming for their hall/apartment. CPC members are volunteers.
Communications Assistant (CA): The CA aids in marketing and design projects related to external communication and publicity assigned by the Office of Residence Life. They work closely with RLLB to create publicity for RLLB and CPC events. They run the RLLB instagram account.

The HLC position is generally posted at opening each fall with applications due early September.
CPC recruitment begins in September of each year, though members can join at any time of the year.
